The Miami Hurricanes will be heading into the 2020 football season with quite possibly the best pass-rushing duo in College Football, in first-round talents Gregory Rousseau and Quincy Roche.
On Thursday, both were named Preseason All-Americans by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
After a breakout season for the redshirt freshman, recording 15.5 sacks (2nd in the FBS), and 19.5 tackles for loss, Gregory ‘Groot’ Rousseau is the first player that comes to mind when you think of an All-American.
As for Roche, the 2019 American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, is another player that is well-deserving of preseason honors. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound edge-rusher recorded 49 total tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks in 2019.
Both players are projected to be first-round selections in the 2021 NFL Draft. Therefore, it’s no surprise to see both Hurricanes receiving preseason recognition.
The Walter Camp Preseason team featured 50 players from 33 schools in eight different conferences.
