The Miami Marlins have continued their hunt to replace its players who contracted COVID-19 this past week.
Right-handed pitcher, Michael Morin is the newest claim by the Fish. Morin has been a world traveler, playing for eight different teams in his seven-year career. In 238 games played, Morin has accumulated a 4.65 ERA with 192 strikeouts.
Since suffering a COVID-19 clubhouse outbreak, the Marlins have signed three players within 24 hours, picking up Justin Shafer and Josh D. Smith out of the Cincinnati Reds waivers Monday. With the Marlins having their season postponed, it’s likely that they’ll continue to bring new players into their 30-man roster from its 50-player pool or free agents.
