University High School (Fort Lauderdale, FL) defensive back Ricardo Hallman announced his verbal commitment to the University of Wisconsin through social media on Monday.

Hallman, 5-foot-11, chose the Badgers over Arkansas, Penn State, Iowa State, and others among his 16 offers. He’s pegged as a three-star recruit, the No. 44 cornerback in the 2021 class, and the No. 85 prospect in the Sunshine State, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

As a junior, Hallman recorded eight interceptions for a U-School team that made the 4A State Playoffs, earning him a All-Broward County 5A-Ind Second Team selection.

Prior to his commitment, Wisconsin were the 247 Crystal Ball favorites for Hallman, racking up 100 percent of the predictions.

Hallman becomes the 15th commit in the Badgers’ 2021 recruiting class. UW also jumps to No. 11 in the 247Sports composite team recruiting rankings.
